Meaning of Merge Sign
Merge signs show that the traffic may be merging into your lane from another roadway. Be prepared to change lanes or allow other traffic to merge into your lane. Merge signs are posted on expressways just before expressway ramps. Drivers entering from the right must yield to traffic on the main route, and must make use of speed-change lanes to merge smoothly and safely into the main traffic flow.
